Is your organisation fully prepared for the new CSRD directive?

The European Union has reached a provisional agreement on the implementation of its Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSRD). The proposal sets out obligations for companies regarding human rights and environmental adverse impacts, with respect to their own operations, operations of subsidiaries, and the value chain operations carried out by entities with which the company has a business relationship. The proposal also includes penalties and civic liability for violations of the obligations.

“This law is a historic breakthrough. Companies are now responsible for potential abuses in their value chain,” said MEP Lara Wolters. “Let this deal… [be] a starting point for shaping the economy of the future – one that puts the well-being of people and the planet before profits and short-termism.”
